My Life as a Volunteer Teacher

One of the things that I will never forget as a person is being a volunteer teacher.
Before, I never thought that I will be able to teach kids because I really hate stubborn children. But God open my heart to see and to be able to feel the beauty behind the unpleasing.
I've been privileged to be a volunteer teacher at Alingaro, Gen. Trias Cavite every Saturday to teach selected indigent pupils of ALB Elem. School. It was a pleasure to be a part of a successful program helping less privileged kids together with the hardworking and generous Korean missionaries.

For the last two years, I've been living my double life - as a college student and as a volunteer teacher. And what is the most interesting about it is that aside from being a simple youth with a simple lifestyle, I was able to influence many lives that will contribute the next generation.

"It's not about the things I will get but the love and happiness I had with them. Fatigue is not an issue and time an excuse not to respond to the mission. It’s just a little service I can give to contribute something worthwhile."
